Hefeweizen - 1 Hour Recipe Kit

$34.99

A classic German beer. Soft and refreshing with fruity notes

Inspired by beers such as: Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier, Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Dovetail Hefeweizen

The Hefeweizen is a traditional German wheat beer known for its distinctive hazy, golden color and thick, creamy white head. Hefeweizens are unfiltered, resulting in a cloudy appearance due to the presence of suspended yeast and proteins. The beer is renowned for its prominent aromas of banana and clove, which are derived from the wheat beer yeast used during fermentation. Hefeweizens have a refreshing and lively carbonation, with a medium body that is smooth on the palate. They often exhibit flavors of wheat, bread, and spice, creating a delightful balance of sweetness and subtle tartness.

Simply Brewing® 1 Hour Recipe Kits contain all the ingredients for new and experienced brewers to easily brew 2.5 gallons of beer in a simple, 1-hour brewday with the use of a 1 Hour Equipment Kit and any 10+ quart stovetop pot. The brew process involves dissolving malt extract into heated water, steeping bags of milled grain (if applicable), boiling and/or steeping bags of hop pellets, and cooling the wort (unfermented beer) in a sink to be added to your fermentation vessel. The wort is then topped off with chilled water for an even faster cool, and the yeast is added. All this including cleanup takes just 1 hour!
